Fashionista
Baby O is one fashionable young lady in her Jenifer Street sweater and leggings (although those boots are giving the sweater a run for its money in terms of kid style!) Wonder what's caught her attention?

Third's a Charm
Kasey sent me this picture of her daughter in her Primrose Street sweater. It was a gift a few years back for her older sister, and this little sweetie is the third one to wear it. It makes me so happy to hear about YHK sweaters being passed down through families like that--I love that they're so loved! Seeing so many adorable little ones wearing my creations is one of the greatest thrills--seriously!

Me and My Baby
Look at this sweetie with all of her dollies in her Yellow House Knits sweater! You may remember that I posted a picture of this sweater not too long ago. It's the Porter Street sweater in purple. I love it even more now that I see Miss H. posing in it. (Do I detect a hint of mischief in those pretty eyes?)
I get SO excited when pictures like this show up in my inbox. Please keep them coming!

Christmas Angel
Love this little Christmas angel modeling her Yellow House Knits sweater. This was originally a custom order for her older sister, but it looks just as adorable on #2. It makes me so happy to see these pictures. Best Christmas present!!

Good Enough to Eat!
Love this picture of Little Miss H. in her custom sweater. I think the colors in this sweater look like sherbet (or "sherbert," as I tend to say). That melon color may be my new favorite, and I think it looks amazing combined with the lighter pink in the stripes and the yellow and pink buttons.
For those of you playing along at home, this sweater is essentially the Belmont Street sweater. The trim along the edges and around the neck is a little different, but this sweater is a great example of how we can tinker with an existing design to create something new and even more fabulous.

All Smiles!
This picture of Miss E in her Prospect Street sweater absolutely made my day! I love that big smile! Her mother reports that she wears the sweater all the time, which makes me so, so, SO happy!
Now is a good time to remind everyone of the 10% savings offer to those who send me a picture of a little one wearing a YHK sweater. See this blog post for more information.

It's a Happy Day
(Anyone else sing a song at camp when you were little called "It's a Happy Day"?)
Maybe it's the infectious smiles on the little models, maybe it's what was obviously a beautiful day, maybe it's that huge yellow flower, or maybe it's the cheerful colors of the sweater, but these pictures of the Klingle Road sweater from photographer Stacey Clack just make me happy!
Thanks Stacey for the gorgeous sweaters! If you live in Western Michigan or thereabouts, you owe it to yourself to check out her beautiful work.

YHK Sighting!
Trish must have heard my pleas for your pictures of your little ones in Yellow House Knits sweaters because she posted these pictures of her son in his custom sweater. Isn't he so handsome?! And he already knows his way around a tractor!

Ask and You Shall Receive
Earlier today, I put a notice on the Yellow House Knits Facebook page reminding everyone that I offer 10% off a future order if you send me a picture of someone you know in a Yellow House Knits sweater.
Just hours later, look what I got! Here's Javi in the Kennedy Street sweater. Javi's mother received the sweater as a shower present in the fall, and Javi is finally big enough to fit into it. Good thing too, since spring isn't so far away. He is just the cutest. Look at him mugging for the camera in that first picture!

A Chilly Day in Florida
D.D.'s mom just sent me this picture from Florida, where the weather has just gotten cold enough for him to wear his YHK sweater and hat. I am in love! The sweater was a shower present for D.D's mom, when she was expecting his older brother. The gift-giver wanted something for a boy, but she wanted a more sophisticated color palette than baby blues, so we came up with this khaki, with the light blue and khaki buttons.
Normally, I like wacky patterns and colors, but every now and then it's nice to do a simple solid-colored sweater and let the quality of the sweater and the yarn speak for themselves, especially when they're set off by awesome buttons like these (which matched the yarn perfectly). The yarn has a nice heathered tone to it, which is hard to see in the picture, but it adds some visual interest to the sweater.
I don't want to wish more cold weather on Florida, but D.D. does look so great in his little sweater!

Miss L's New Sweater
Just got this darling picture of little Miss L trying on her new sweater! The sweater was a gift from her Godmother (nice gift!). It's huge on her, but her mom said that she couldn't wait to try it on. Looks like she'll be able to get a lot of wear out of it as she grows into it. Cute, cute, cute!

New Pictures
I had something of a rough day yesterday, so I was excited to get home and find a CD of pictures of the Prospect Street sweater from photograher Jennifer Tibbetts (from the other Washington). They're so fun and whimsical--exactly the attitude I like my sweaters to have! They're all gorgeous, but here are a couple of my favorites. You can see more of Jennifer's work on her website.

Double Your Fun!
You're not seeing double--they're twins! In Yellow House Knits. Just look at these little guys! I can't get over how darn adorable they are. Don't they look like little men in those hats!?!?
Many, many thanks to Ellie Musser for sending me pictures of these fellows. You can see more of her fantastic work on her website.

Kennedy Street Sweater
Pam sent me this picture of her son showing off his Kennedy Street sweater. Isn't he adorable? (Looks like he has lots of personality!) The sweater is perfect for his fair coloring. Be sure to check out other pictures of Yellow House Knits sweaters "in action" in the Photo Gallery on the Yellow House Knits website.

It's a Dress
Yellow House Knits is primarily focused on sweaters for babies and kids. But every now and then a customer requests some other type of clothing--most often, it's a request for coordinating hats and scarves. ED's mother wanted a jumper for her to wear this fall. She wanted something fun in colors other than traditional fall reds, oranges, and browns, so we went with the pink and purple stripes. It's hard to see in the picture, but the purple stripes are done in a novelty yarn that looks a bit like confetti. I particularly love the flirty little ruffle around the neck and armholes. The mom was thrilled with how it turned out, and I'm thrilled to see ED wearing it. It's always fun to work on something completely different for a change.
