Olive Street

The final sweater in the Georgetown collection is the Olive Street sweater.  This little cardigan is striped in three shades of green: grass green, lime green, and sour apple green.  The overall effect is a fun twist on a monochromatic color scheme.  The sweater has five (or four, for smaller sizes) tiny buttons with teeny tiny orange trees that complement the sweater--and the collection as a whole--beautifully.  The colors look great on boys and girls alike (and are great for a baby shower where the mom-to-be doesn't know the sex of the baby!).

Wisconsin Avenue

The third sweater in the Georgetown collection is the Wisconsin Avenue sweater.  This sweater was fun for me to make because it incorporates color differently than most of my other sweaters.  The white sweater has alternating rows of bright pink and orange speckles, and it has a border that combines pink zig zags and a green band with orange crosses.  The sweater is trimmed in blue-green along the lower edge, collar, cuffs, and button band.  Six or seven (depending on the size of the sweater) polka dot buttons finish it off.

This sweater is a lovely mix of a classic style and updated colors.  Dress it up and wear with a skirt or down and wear with jeans.  Perfect for your little lady.

Dumbarton Street

Next up in our tour of the Georgetown collection is the Dumbarton Street sweater.  This little sweater is white and bright orange with a mix of thick stripes, thinner stripes, and really thin stripes.  The front has a single pocket, perfect for holding a special treasure or a note from home.  The colors are so bold and fun together, it's impossible not to smile at this sweater.

(Note that I've learned that on some monitors, the orange color appears to be more of a red.  Rest assured, it is *really* orange.)

Reservoir Road

The first sweater in the Georgetown collection is the Reservoir Road sweater for boys.  This sweater is striped in red, lime green, purple, orange, and blue-green.  I love the college professor look of the shawl collar.  Perfect for a little man on a crisp fall day!

Introducing the Georgetown Collection

I'm thrilled to announce the arrival of the third Yellow House Knits collection!  (How can it be three already?)  Please welcome the Georgetown Collection!

Georgetown is perhaps the quintessential D.C. neighborhood, blending historic architecture with a vibrant nightlife and high-end commercial activity.  I think that the sweaters in this collection are quintessential Yellow House Knits, mixing new styles and patterns with classic designs, all grounded in the bright, bold colors that are at the very foundation of my brand.

As of today, all four sweaters are available in the YHK Etsy shop, up to size 24 months.  I'll post more pictures of the individual sweaters in the next days.  In the meantime, I hope you'll take a look!

Special thanks to Stephanie Cotta Photography for the lovely pictures and to all of her *gorgeous* little models!
