I've worked my way through a couple of bags of cough drops and a whole lot of cough suppressants. I've tried hot tea and juice for Vitamin C. I've taken hot showers and curled up on the couch with a box of tissues.
The only thing that has provided any relief is NyQuil. I realize that it's only because NyQuil has about 25% alcohol, which knocks you right out (which is why DayQuil doesn't do much at all), but wow is it the best sleep ever. It really is the night-time, sniffling, sneezing, coughing, aching, stuffy head fever so you can rest medicine.
I've been in the exact same boat the last few days. And I too am writing love notes to Nyquil. Feel better!
ReplyDeleteYou bet! That is good stuff indeed:)
ReplyDeleteBut it tastes horrible. I can't even swallow it without getting sick :(. I hope your feeling better now though. :)
